Sometimes bleeding may last for weeks and lead to an incomplete miscarriage. -Medical Management involving medication treatment in order to compete a miscarriage. It prescribed to allow the uterus to push out all remaining tissue. Some negative side effects such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea may occur.
 -Surgical Treatment involving dilation and curettage (D & C). It is the fastest treatment available to complete the process of a miscarriage. It is usually performed in case of an incomplete or missed miscarriage, or if severe pain, heavy bleeding, or infection are experienced. During this procedure a woman is put under a general or local anesthesia. Any remaining tissue is removed from the cervix with the help of suction. This treatment does not require an overnight stay, and the woman can back to her normal activities within a few days.
Prevention It is difficult to lessen the chances of a miscarriage occurring. Healthy lifestyle will help ensure that you stay healthy throughout the pregnancy. Additionally, regularly visits to a doctor will help maintain your and your baby’s health.
