Abortion is a usual widespread medical procedure in modern life. Approximately 40% of all women terminate the pregnancy by abortion in some period of their lives. Women of every social class refer to abortions, although there are typical women that disposed towards the termination of pregnancy, as a rule they are unmarried, poor, white, and young.
Pregnancy is great wonderful news for many parents but sometimes it carries only heaviness and additional troubles to families or single mother. There are many reasons for this. It often occurs that women do not want to change their career or education to motherhood. Only a few single women have enough courage and strength for raising their chilled, the others fail before new problems. Young mothers, so called “teenage mums”, tend to abortions, because of their immaturity. There are also two not less important reasons of abortions; they are family genetic disorders and rapes. Control of population and predomination boys over the girls make rather essential influence on abortion rates.

On average one abortion accounts for 2.8 births in the world.In regions where abortion is legal, the incidence of different reasons for induced abortion varies noticeably. It has been calculated that nearly 46 million abortions are conducted all over the world each year. 26 million of them are reported to occur in regions where abortion is permitted. The other 20 million happen in the area where it is illegal. Some countries, such as Belgium and the Netherlands, have a low rate of induced abortion. The other ones, like Russia and Vietnam have a relatively high rate.
