Spotting or bleeding which may be permanent or may start and stop more than a few times over the three weeks following the abortion.
Absence of bleeding at all.
Passing black, brown, or red blood clots.
Cramping in abdominal and back area.
Slightly increased temperature (100 degrees or less) for a few days after you abortion.
Changes in your emotional condition for no obvious reason.
Discharge from the nipples.
Vanishing of most pregnancy symptoms within 1 to 7 days.
Ovulation may happen at any time. Your period will come in 4 to 8 weeks.
Cramps may be because of the reduction of the uterus or because of the passing blood clots. Deep massage of the abdomen, descending toward the pubic bone, may help pass clots and ease cramping. A hot water bottle or heating pad usually helps as well.
