| Presidential Elections and Abortion | Every democratic or republican leader seeking for president post will broach the disputable issue of abortion.
Should we make abortion officially permitted or should there be an absolute ban on it?
Should people be anti or pro abortion?
Should abortion be measured in cases where it is a matter of life or death?
Finally, who decides? Going through abortion is one of the most distressing experiences women go through.
It occurs continually whether we formulate it legal or illegal. Doesn’t a young woman who has become pregnant as a result or rape is worthy of a chance at a normal life just for the reason that abortion is banned? Likewise a woman with 2 -3 children - whose husband compeled her into unsafe sex and who haven’t the funds for another child have the right to decide what is the best for her and her children.
Simultaneously there are women in this world who have all the means they could ever need to raise a child but they just don’t want to take on that responsibility. Some women decide on abortion just for the reason that it is a suitable way out for them. What does one do?
The right selection would be to think about the situation and then make a decision on the course of action. What will be best for the mother and the child? Lawfully abortion should be considered in matters of life and death, in sexual crimes against women, and in the case of teenage mothers.
But the concluding decision should be that of the mother. The decision of aborting a pregnancy should be weighted as a basic feature of women’s personal rights. Let her have the power and understanding to do what she thinks best.
