| Preparation for Abortion Debate |  Many students of different high schools join debate teams or enroll in public speaking classes, which embolden the proper methods for debating. These students research different arguments either supporting or against abortions that predominate in our society. Their acts can include a variety of things, but most students have the opportunity to take part in an abortion debate in some way. Many teachers tend to discuss the abortion topic in the classroom with their students. A great number of debate teams actively debate the topic of abortion using reasonable arguments.
The first step for preparing to abortion debate should be the researching of all available information on this issue. There are many sources for gaining such sort of information. They are mass media, such as newspapers, TV-news, different TV-programs, meetings and debate, social commercials, etc. But the most suitable source for gaining information is the World Wide Web. There you can find numerous websites with both sides of the argument quite well. Before you begin to form your own argument about abortion to be used in your debate, make sure you look through both pro-lifer’s and pro-choicer’s sides of the argument. You should take great care of research both of these sides so that you can better word your specific reasoning.
While preparing for your abortion debate, you should carefully choose the words and phrases for your argumentation; they must not be insensitive or potentially upsetting. You should also respect both sides of the issue as well as the women who are faced with the alternative of abortion and the physicians who work in clinics that perform abortions. You should not use any furious or slanderous remarks and be sure your debate content is performed in an intelligent, professional, and educational way. By your debate content you should allow your opponent to understand and appreciate your point of view, but not anger him or her by using unprofessional language.
Is it Good or not?
There is no single social idea whether abortion is right or wrong. Many people are very much interested in this conception. Present thoughts are very contradictory. The answer on this question cannot be given in certain, may be it depends on under what conditions pregnancy aborts, are they morally acceptable or not.
There are different points of view but two of them are major. That is why two opposing abortion groups exist: pro-life and pro-choice. As a matter of fact reality is much more complicated than this dual system.
Also exists so called “anti-abortion” group. Its supporters object abortions at all. To express their disapproval they occasionally bomb or set fire to abortion clinics and hospitals, organize different meetings against induced abortions.
Pro-life supporters have different range of beliefs. Some of them think that abortion is not acceptable at all. It is better to let the woman and fetus die rather than save the woman’s life by killing unborn child. Others say that abortion is acceptable when the pregnancy occurred in result of rape or incest, or it is needed to prevent the woman’s health from possible physical damage.
Pro-choice advocates hold various ranges of beliefs. Some of them do not deny early-term abortions; others accept abortions in the first trimester. Some of them say that abortions are acceptable before the fetus becomes viable. Among pro-choicers are even those who think that women may abort their child on any stage of gestation.
